Location: Bodmin, Cornwall
Salary: £37,175 - £42,656 per annum
Job Type: Temporary to Ongoing
Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP

MSS Infrastructure Ltd are looking for experienced Chargehand / Civils Supervisors to join a busy civil engineering and surfacing team based in Bodmin. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to take the lead on a variety of infrastructure, drainage and surfacing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of up to 6 operatives
  • Deliver civils works including drainage, kerbing and hand-laid tarmac
  • Coordinate daily site activities, plant and materials
  • Conduct site briefings and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure compliance with RAMS, company procedures and health & safety standards
  • Read and interpret utility drawings and site plans
  • Support the successful delivery of projects to programme and quality standards

Essential Requirements

  • CSCS Card
  • NRSWA Operative
  • Full UK Driving Licence (LGV desirable)
  • Ability to securely park a 3.5-tonne vehicle
  • Previous experience supervising civils or groundworks teams

Desirable

  • SSSTS
  • Dumper, Mini Excavator and Roller tickets
  • Experience operating small plant
  • Relevant machine operator certifications
