Role: Civils Operatives
Location: Launceston, Bodmin & Fraddon
Job Type: Temporary to Ongoing
Pay Rate: From £13.45 per hour (DOE & tickets held)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
MSS Infrastructure Ltd is currently recruiting Civils Operatives for multiple ongoing civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Launceston, Bodmin and Fraddon.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team working on a variety of highways, utilities and civil engineering schemes, with long-term work available for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Excavation and reinstatement of roads, footways and utility trenches
- Installation of ducts, drainage systems and utility pipework
- Assisting with site preparation and general groundworks activities
- Operating hand tools and small plant equipment safely
- Supporting utility installation, repair and maintenance projects
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite
- Following RAMS, site procedures and health & safety regulations
Essential Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience within civil engineering, groundworks or utility works
- Strong awareness of site health and safety practices
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable Qualifications
- CPCS or NPORS Dumper
- CPCS or NPORS Mini Excavator
- CPCS or NPORS Roller
- Street Works / Utility experience
- Additional plant or construction-related tickets
