At the beginning of May, MSS Infrastructure (MSSI) successfully achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification, marking an important milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to cybersecurity, data protection and operational resilience.
Cyber Essentials Plus is a government-backed certification that independently verifies an organisation’s core cybersecurity controls through hands-on technical testing and validation. Unlike the standard Cyber Essentials certification, the Plus accreditation requires independent assessment and testing of systems, devices and user controls to confirm they are operating effectively in practice.
For our customers, supply chain partners and workforce, this certification provides additional assurance that MSSI continues to take cybersecurity seriously and is committed to protecting systems, information and business operations against common cyber threats.
The certification process involved a detailed review and independent testing of several key areas, including secure system configuration, patch management, access controls, device compliance and endpoint protection. It also required user validation exercises, system checks and evidence that cybersecurity controls are consistently maintained across the business.
Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus strengthens our position when supporting public sector organisations, Tier 1 contractors and infrastructure clients where robust cybersecurity standards are increasingly expected as part of supplier assurance and tender processes.
Most importantly, it reinforces confidence that MSSI operates with independently verified security standards designed to reduce risks associated with phishing, ransomware and unauthorised access.
Commenting on the achievement, Samad Abdul, IT and Innovation Manager, said:
“Cyber Essentials Plus demonstrates our commitment to maintaining strong cybersecurity standards across the business. This certification not only strengthens our internal security posture, but also provides additional assurance to our customers, workforce and supply chain partners that cybersecurity and data protection remain a priority for MSSI.”
Cybersecurity remains an ongoing commitment, and MSSI will continue investing in security awareness, secure technologies and compliance processes to maintain the highest possible standards across the business, as reflected in our verified credentials.
